Mistakes were made
You may have heard that, when four soon-to-be deaccessioned paintings were removed from the Maier Museum at Randolph College recently, a local police officer, on hand for security, told a student there had been a bomb threat at the museum. Story here. Yesterday Lynchburg Commonwealth Attorney Michael Doucette issued a statement on whether criminal charges will be brought against the officers involved. (Answer: No. "I see nothing in the facts of this case that suggests that the officer in question acted out of malice or with any criminal intent. ...
